This study aims to develop visual media in the form of the game on the field of study PKN fourth grade school to help students demonstrate positive attitudes towards the impact of globalization is happening in their environment and able to facilitate the learning of teachers. The goal is then translated into indicators include (1) the feasibility of the media, (2) student responses, (3) development of student attitudes, (4) teacher assessment, and (5) the response of teachers. Visual game in question is a quartet game and looking for a partner.
The research was limited to the development of visual media and media applications on learning, not to discuss the influence of media developed by the learning achievement due to factors that affect the achievement is not just the media. The results did not spread in a wider scale.
The development of qualitative research conducted manifold through two stages. The first stage is the development of media and the second stage is the application of media in learning. Stage of development in this study adopted the model of software development with change of type 4D tailored to the needs of research include media production, validation of the expert team, as well as test media. While the implementation phase of the media covering the use of instructional media, observation of student activities, and evaluation of students’ affective skills.
SDN 1 Sumberingin Kidul Kec. Ngunut, Kab. Tulungagung chosen as a research site. Necessary data in this study is the response of students, development of student attitudes, teacher assessment and teacher feedback. To obtain the data used method of observation, interviews, and questionnaires. Data collected and analyzed using descriptive analysis and percentages.
The results showed that the media quartet and the looking for partners card who developed in accordance with scientific procedures in creating a viable learning medium and applied to learning PKN in elementary school, is reinforced by the assessment of a team of experts who claim the media can be applied in PKN teaching. Visual learning media which was developed in the field of study PKN can help students demonstrate positive attitudes towards the impact of globalization occurring in the environment, it is reinforced from the student responses provided and development of positive attitudes of students. Media developed also simplifies the task of the teacher in teaching and learning, this is reinforced by the judgments of teachers and teacher responses to the media developed.
